Louis Samuels graduated Medical School from Hahnemann University (Philadelphia, PA) in 1987 and completed his Cardiothoracic Surgical training in 1995. He joined the faculty of Drexel University as the Surgical Director of Cardiac Transplantation. In 2001, Dr. Samuels and his team implanted the world’s 5th totally implantable electric artificial heart (AbioCor™). In 2003, he joined the Main Line Health System as the Surgical Director of Heart Failure. In addition to cardiac transplantation and LVAD implantation, Dr. Samuels performs CABG and Valvular surgery. In 2012, Dr. Samuels became Professor of Surgery at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine. Dr. Samuels has authored over 100 peer reviewed manuscripts and serves as a reviewer for the Annals of Thoracic Surgery. In addition to participating in several clinical trials related to mechanical circulatory support, he continues to serve as a consultant and medical advisor to new technologies currently in trial.

His research interest are Annals of Thoracic Surgery, Cardiac Surgery.

Dr. Hallak is currently Chief of Interventional Cardiology Department at American Hospital Dubai, President (gulf Chapter) of international Society of Endovascular Specialists, Chairman of 4TS international conference, and previous Board Member of Emirate Cardiac Society. Dr. Hallak received his post graduate training and research in United States at University of Illinois, Chicago, North Western University and Louisiana University in New Orleans. He is Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, Vascular Medicine, Endovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Internal Medicine. He was the Head of Cardiology Department at Saint Francis Hospital in USA, and assistant Professor at LSU New Orleans and University of West Virginia. He has performed thousands of procedures including Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Intervention in addition to Pacemaker and ICD/ CRT Implantation. He participated in many national and international research studies with many publications. He involved extensively in local, regional and international cardiology conferences as a Speaker and as a Chairman.

Miguel Garber has over 32 years of experience in Internal Medicine and Cardiology, in addition to training, research, and development expertise in Regenerative Medicine. Over the past 12 years, he has made a significant contribution to stem cell research, specializing in the exploration and development of stem cell therapies for cardiac disorders, osteoarthritis, and neurological and autoimmune diseases. Formerly the Director of American Medical Information Group, he now serves as the Medical Director of Regenerative Medicine Madrid and the President of the Spanish Society of Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy (SEMERETEC). He also teaches a Master’s degree program in Regenerative Medicine and edits a number of scholarly journals on the subject

Robert Skalik is a Consultant in Cardiology at two hospitals (Regional General Hospital, Krotoszyn and Leszno Medical Centre “Ventriculus”, Leszno, Poland) and outpatient Cardiology Clinics in Wrocław. He is an academic Teacher in Department of Physiology, Medical University of Wrocław, Poland, former Consultant in Cardiology and Echocardiography, Department of Cardiac Surgery and Cardiology, Medical University of Wrocław. He completed his PhD in Echocardiography at Medical University of Wrocław, Poland. He completed his internship in Department of Cardiology, Free University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Rainer Moosdorf is working in the field of Cardiovascular Surgery since more than 35 years. He started his career as a resident at the University Hospital in Giessen in 1978. In 1990 he became a full professor for cardiovascular surgery at the University in Bonn and vice chairman of the respective department. In 1989 and 1990 he spent two semesters at the Carolinas Heart Institute in Charlotte/NC as a research and clinical fellow. Since 1994, He is working at the University Hospital in Marburg as a full professor for cardiovascular surgery and director of the department. Between 2001 and 2011 he also held the position of the vice medical director and since 2006 the medical director of the University Hospital in Marburg. The main specialties within cardiovascular surgery are laser- and arrhythmia surgery, endovascular procedures including TAVI´s and endovascular reconstructions of the aortic arch and reconstructive surgery of the coronaries. As the chairman of the board of "Medical Network Hessen" he is an official representative of the State of Hessen in the field of clinical medicine and medical education.

Marco Picichè (MD, Ph.D.) graduated with a degree in medicine from the University of Florence in 1995 and completed his cardiac surgery residency at the Tor Vergata University of Rome in 2000, both summa cum laude. He held regular teaching appointments at the university of Montpellier school of medicine, obtained certification by the French Board in cardiac surgery (Paris, 2007), earned his research master in surgical science (Paris, 2007), and received a university diploma in vascular surgery (Paris, 2007). In May 2009 he had the honor of opening the 44th Congress of the European Society for Surgical Research with a lecture on ‘‘The history of surgical research.’’ In September 2011 he received a doctor of philosophy (Ph.D.) in therapeutic innovations from Paris-Sud University. He is the Editor in Chief of the book : « Dawn and evolution of cardiac procedures : research avenues in cardiac surgery and interventional cardiology » (Springer-Verlag publishing house, September 2012). He patented a new surgical instrument. Currently he is a cardiac surgeon in Italy.

Sabrina Zeghichi-Hamri is an Associate Professor at Bejaia University (Algeria), did her PhD in Physiology, Physiopathology and Pharmacology from Grenoble University (France) and MSc. in Food Quality Management from the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania, Crete (Greece). She is a Researcher at the Department of Cardiology (Grenoble University Hospital). Her project was to study the effects of Omega-3 fatty acids on malignant ventricular arrhythmias in rats and in patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillator. Currently, she is working on phytochemicals and their antioxidant activities and their effects in prevention of chronic diseases; at the Laboratory of Biomathematics, Biochemistry, Biophysics and Scientometrics (Bejaia University).

Sherif A S A Mansour is a Consultant of Cardiothoracic Surgery in Ministry of Health Hospitals, in addition to working as a Surgeon in Royal Stoke Hospital, Stoke-on-Trent, UK. He works at Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt as a Senior Lecturer. He is subspecialized in Off Pump CABG, minimal invasive cardiac surgery with fantastic results and many contributions to various cardiac surgery centers in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. He has publications in the peer reviewed journals and contributions in some published cardiothoracic books with many contributions at international conferences across Europe and Asia. Recently, he started to explore the field of Robotic Heart Surgery with strong steps toward achieving his goal of mastering it.
